The Chairman of Cricket, Mark Simmons, is accountable to
the OMG for cricket performance of all squads and leagues
under the jurisdiction of the County.
The Chairman of Cricket will be supported by a Cricket
executive including representatives from the key cricket
groups.
The purpose of grouping together all cricket playing
teams, squads and leagues is to ensure that we have
co-ordinated, integrated player pathways and cricket
playing programmes.
The primary aim is to have a successful and effective
County cricket structure - that is underpinned by
programmes that coach and develop young cricketers to
enjoy their sport - and that enables individual players
to play at the highest level they can, including seamless
progress to the Minor County squad and beyond.
